Wexham Park Hospital
Wexham Park Hospital wanted to make sure their system was ready for the warmer weather – so they contacted Campbell West to replace their old chiller and condenser.
Background
There was increasing demand on the existing plant at the hospital – and summer was coming.
Campbell West was engaged to undertake the removal of the old plant and the installation of the new one. As the plant serves the main operating theatre suite, we had to ensure that there was always chilled water available.
What we did
We installed a 500kW temporary hire chiller to ensure that the water supply to the operating theatre suite wasn’t interrupted.
Then we safely removed and disposed of the existing two chillers and condensers. We replaced the old plant with two chillers, remote condensers and primary circulation pumps.
The new equipment has a larger capacity than the former system, ensuring that it can keep up with the increased demand.
